The Reb Zalman Legacy Archive
The Reb Zalman Legacy On-Line
In a career spanning over 60 years, Reb Zalman has been a rebbe (teacher) of many incarnations. In the 1940s, he was an Orthodox Hasidic rabbi and one of the first HaBaD outreach workers of the Lubavitcher Hasidim. By the 1960s he was called the "Hippie Rabbi" for his involvement in counter-culture ideas. And today, many think of him as the "Cyber Rebbe" for his legendary technological savvy. His unique ability to tap-in to the particular needs and interests of generations has been the secret of his success. So it seems fitting that the "Cyber Rebbe" should give birth to a "Cyber Legacy," using the language of emerging technologies to articulate spiritual possibilities.
